The Challenge
Ownership wanted a customer-facing system so staff would not handle customers' notes and coins while working with food. Gloves were an option, but constantly changing them between the till and food was a hassle, and a recurring cost.
Our Solution
A StrongPoint UNI was installed as a customer-facing unit, letting customers handle their own cash. That removed staff from cash handling entirely, solved the hygiene problem, and automated the daily call for change, the end-of-day counting, and the till reconciliation.
“For me, the UNI is fabulous and completely changed my work time and how I organised my day, especially at the weekends and end of day. During the day there was always the call for change, coins that were running low, at the end of day there was always the emptying of the till and counting of the till and reconciliation of the till. It was even worse at the weekend, so it meant seven days a week always being available and even as a business owner that is impossible. I cannot believe how much this has changed my way of working.
